The challenge
The project explored a comforting, easy-to-understand interaction for children experiencing long hospital stays.
My role
I contributed to concept development, construction and the design of the robot's behaviour and feeding-game interaction.
The approach
- Built a physical prototype with proximity sensing, head movement and sound.
- Designed expressive responses that invite children to feed and interact with the robot.
- Iterated the interaction and physical design with the team.
What emerged
The result was an interactive prototype. Its effects on children's wellbeing were not clinically evaluated as part of the portfolio material.
