The challenge
An existing lactation room offered few of the practical and emotional qualities its users needed, including comfort, privacy and storage.
My role
I developed room layouts and the spatial concept, created visualisations and material proposals, and incorporated feedback from current users and mothers in the wider community.
The approach
- Gathered needs and preferences from people familiar with the space.
- Proposed layouts, materials, lighting and storage around privacy and comfort.
- Returned to participants for feedback and refined the design over multiple iterations.
What emerged
The team selected a final design proposal shaped by participant feedback. The portfolio material does not establish whether the room was built or measure its later use.
