The challenge
A mental health facility sought a calmer, more comforting space for patients experiencing moments of overwhelm.
My role
As part of a multidisciplinary design team, I helped analyse needs and clinical constraints, attended a client meeting and developed sketches, mood boards and sensory ideas.
The approach
- Translated therapeutic goals and practical constraints into an early spatial concept.
- Explored biophilic materials, soft seating, greenery and ambient sound.
- Refined the concept using client feedback.
What emerged
The result was a design concept for a therapeutic seating environment. No clinical outcome is claimed.
